I downloaded itunes earlier and tryed to set up an account but it ask for a credit card # and stuff. I thought you just dl it and go.
Do you have to pay monthly for it or is it a one time fee?if so can anyone tell me how much it is either way?

I bought a $25 dl card from the store, so why should I have to give a credit card nuber? does anyone know how to put it in without having to give a c c #, thats what I was trying to avoid.

Before you redeem the iTunes gift card, edit your account to show no credit card. You do this under payment information section by selecting no credit card. Then redeem the iTunes card and it shouldn't ask you for a credit card.

I receive iTunes cards for christmas and just operate the account without a credit card.

There is no charge to open an iTunes account...it's completely free. The reason they ask for a credit card number is because that is the card that will be charged if you decide to purchase music through the iTunes store. So, after you open your account, your credit card will only be charged if you decide to buy music from their store. Each song is $.99.

nothing. it costs .99 to download a song. it asks for a credit card so that you can purchase songs, it will automatically charge it to the credit card they have on file.

sure. yet they ask on your card quantity in case you purchase your music. I made an account yet transferred music from this free thingy I downloaded onto it. in reality ensure you do no longer purchase something and also you need to b ok.
