What is better a epiphone guitar or a squier?

I agree with the others, epiphone is generally better. Unless you can get your hands on an early Squier, the first couple of years they made them in Japan instead of Mexico and those Japanese Squiers sound better than alot of the U.S. standard strats made today.

Both Epiphones and Squiers are now made in Asia. That being said, the Epiphone has nicer materials and better quality control, so my vote would be the Epi.

epiphone absolutely.... squier has no credibility. epiphone has been making classic gibson style guitars since the 1940's

There are pros and cons here. If you are a beginner, then a Squire is the way to go. A quality guitar and the price is very reasonable. Epiphone's are more expensive, but have a higher quality.

Save your money and buy a Fender, even if its a Mexi Fender don't bother with those. I have an American Strat but when I play a show I use my Mexy it a really good guitar and if it gets dinged (and it does) its not a big deal.
