The building of the new Wembley stadium here in the UK is finally going to be delivered after a delay of a few years.

In the US, has the building of any major sports stadia suffered as many delays or are the stadia there usually delivered on time?

Wembley was built by a Australian contracter. Their tender for the contract was chosen. However the contractor is gonna lose £millions on the projects because of overcosts and over-runs. None of this hurts the taxpayer, cause the contractor (a big Australian PLC) has to honour the tender figure.

I presume in the USA there are delays... Holyrood style. Often I wonder who is skimming off what. Holyrood was probably built by Tony Soprano's contracting team.
