Love in itself is selfless. It's infatuation that makes you want for yourself. So it must be the infatuation you're feeling when you speak of yourself, but love, love is selfless compassion, and if it's unconditional. Then it doesn't matter what they do, you'll always want the best for them, no matter what it means for you.

You're confused. If it has conditions then it can't be unconditional love, can it? What you're talking about is the more common form of love which is very watered down from the original form.
People who say unconditional love doesn't exist obviously haven't experienced it. I have and do, every day.

why do you call it UNCONDITIONAL LOVE when you know in your heart youre waiting for it to be given back?
then you don't call that unconditional love. if you love someone and expect your love to be returned, then you love reciprocally, and not unconditionally.

There is no such thing as unconditional love. Even the stoutest, most devoted hearts can be push to where they will not go any further.

at the end of what u said, comes the dead battery thing, some only take and some wants something back, u have to get a girl who is in love with u to get something back, if u chase this girl don't ask for help cause she know why she is in that spot otherwise u would be in that spot and you would have her chasing u and that could look embarrassing, we change ourselves as we find we want different things in life, and who and how to get to people who give back, bare hooks are hard to get out of a mouth after it is not noticed at first seem to tend to have a metallic taste when it gets old, that is why old dog DON'T want to learn new tricks, the trick ends up more is less and that can't be explained unless u are prone to head games

Then its not unconditional love, simply put.
But are you saying that nobody loves unconditionaly? I wish that were the case but it isn't. Love, especially unconditional love, has claimed its own casualties.

Cause 'unconditional love' sounds better than calling it 'bollocks'.

Because people like to exaggerate and emphasize how MUCH they think they love another.
Some people say they love a person unconditionally, but what if that person cheated on them? What if that person ran over them with their car? What if that person murdered their parents? Would they still unconditionally love that person?
