I agree Sir Jamjan is rather prestigious.
I agree with cyber, what would I do with a title?? They might not know about such things in some countries, it might not get you a table in some restaurants, and besides I prefer the local eaterie. Our area is too posh as it is, and I have to fork out for my hefty mortgage which I wouldn't get a discount for if I had something in the front of my name and a couple of fancy initials behind either.

Don't have to be rich, even if they told me they are going to give me the knighthood for free and on top of that pay my stay in London for one week in a 5 stars hotel, I wouldn't bother to go, because what in heaven I'm gonna do with that title?, besides Tony Blair is not the one giving the titles, it's the house of commons, also the dark side of the force gave Dart Vader his knight master title..☺

lets just look back at the facts, tony blair went to discuse the second gulf war at camp david with george bush,in keeping with our wishes that we would stand by america after the 9/11 disaster. the americans came to our aide in the first and second world wars. Wealong with every eurpean and other world leaders voiced that we would stand by then in their hour of need. in reality when the time came all other countries turnred their backs and broke their pledges to help america except the uk. Tony Blair was our chosen leader at that time and stood by our word to help. by the way my son was a territorial soldeir at that time and was called to do his duty in iraq and fought in the battle for basarh. some thing he and his family are very proud of. he returned home worn out but safely.this war was not a shot in the dark my son was sent on a specialist course a year before the war started,on his return home a year later his call up papers arrived for him to attend for embarkation at barracks in nottingham. a week later he was in iraq going into battle. in that year enough food, ammunition, etc had to be mustered so thats how that war progressed,in liason with the americans. also at that time blair and bush obtained agreements from libya to lay down all their weapons of mass destruction and work towards peace. so i hope this sheds some light that we stood by our word where others burried their heads in the sand
