I was trying to print something, but when I went to hook the printer to my laptop, the part where you plug in the cord on my laptop was loose, I hooked it up anyway, but the computer would not recognize my printer. Any idea on how to fix it or how much it would cost? Thanks for your help!

Just turn off the printer and restart your computer.

Then turn the printer back on. It'll work fine.

Or do you mean the cable itself is broken? If so, go buy a new cable for ~$10.
