One of the classic examples of that happening was re-discovery of the Coelacanth (the "dinosaur fish"). Here's some pictures and history on this ugly sucker:

Yup - Yup!

There have been birds, fish, lizards and a host of others once thought to be long gone, that have been discovered again recently!

Our world has never been 'completely' explored! Strange, huh? There may be locations throught the world where creatures of old still exist! In some parts of the jungles in South America, we are just now learning of creatures thought to be extinct!

Dinosaurs? Hmm, maybe! I do know for a fact that Sasquatches are still around! ;-)

Nice question!

Dinosaurs, no idea. But animals that lived long before dinosaurs and still living is a fish species called coeleocanth. this animal was recently caught by a South African fisherman and still alive. there are many animals that once thought extinct that found alive.
So by this ratio, dinosaur might be alive in forbiden untouched virgin jungles some where out there.

yes several of them.

When it comes to dinosaurs though, I don't think there are any left. Unless in the oceans. We may be able to miss for dozens and even hundreds of years a small animal, but there is no way we could miss a huge creature that has to eat hundreds of pounds of food in a day. The ecological footprint of an animal that size would be too big to miss.

The ivory-billed woodpecker was thought to be extinct, and it was rediscovered last year in the swamps of Arkansas.
