no I am not a security guard...have a friend who is....tired of all the "crap" talkin

the security guard at my work is a life savor, you should have lots of respect for them, they make your workplace a lot safer

They generally do not do good what they are supposed to do. They are not eager to help employees needing assistance.
One security guard where I work smelled alcohol during his shift. One time, another security guard in the elevator with me was looking around for his set of the building keys . . . (yikes!)
Of course there are exceptions to these stereotypes and I do commend those few.

They security guards where I work are great. They dont get the credit they deserve

I don't like them especially the ones at school they aren't real police just people hired through companies that give poor training. I respect figures in authority but they take their jobs too seriously and think they have a whole lot of power when really they don't.

they get made fun of, get no respect, I know they did not when I was going to school, and the ones in are mall dont get any respect either!
Some think there the people that want to be cops but dont have
what it takes!( at least that is what happend to one of are school gards, and he is cool he admited that !)
I dont know what else to say! I think they need more credit then what they get!

It all depends on the company that they work for. I know plenty of people who work as security, some like it some don't.

Its a mediocre job many men take when there is nothing else available,but it helps pay the bills.

its a job...but alot of them are a bit on the immature side and don't give a crap about what they are doing

someone i know does security work and he works a lot of overtime. just to make his car payment, he hates it.

i dont know my husband is a ex-security guard.he didnt much care for the company he worked for.
