With tax a ps3 at my local best buy (20gb) would cost me $534.99

I just saw one end for $510 + $20 shipping!

It worked out for me. I won one last night for $535 and $30 for shipping. It wound up costing the person $56 to ship it. Like the other guy said supply versus demand. Check it out.....130058964249 ebay item #.

Many people purchased PS 3's with the intention of selling them online and not of actually using them. When they first came out people who did not get one (do to the production prices) wanted one and were willing to pay more. Now that there are lots more selling and the initial rush to get one is all over, the prices have dropped. The reason for this price drop is because those who intended to sell when they bought have to lower their prices in order to make the sale

too many people are trying to sell it. You see that our economy is based on a supply/demand. There has to be a equilibruim between the two for there to be a steady stream of money. But if the supply is soo high that means the demand for it will go down. Thats why the prices are soo low.
