I got a myspace account about 8 months ago and now I think it is kind of dumb. Does anyone else think so too? I tried to delete my myspace account and could not do it. Does anyone know how?

yes. okay...
1. go to "account settings" which is in the blue box next to your picture.
2.you will see three links right above where it says "my account settings" and they are; view my profile, edit my profile, cancel account. click cancel account.
3. then it will ask you are you sure you want to cancel your account. click cancel my account.
4. now it gives you a box to type in why your canceling. write your reason and then click cancel my acount.
5.then it gives you t his message "Your request to cancel your MySpace Account has been sent. You will receive an email shortly with instructions for confirming that you wish to cancel.You must follow the instructions in that email to complete cancellation of your account. Thank you. "
6.check your email and follow the instructions it gives you.
the problem i had with mine is that i used a fake email address when i signed up, so i could never confirm canceling my account. if you did this you can just erase all your info on your myspace so its just blank.

simply cancel. in the account settings menu there is an option at the top of the page to cancel account! simple as pie. sorry its not for you , i have found myspace to be totally useful. good luck

You go to account settings and then there is a button that says cancel account..myspace will miss you!!!!!!!!

you have to go to your myspace page and at the top with all the icons i think it says something like delete myspace.. im not positive though

you have to type in your email adress and then it will send you a deleting confirmation thing and if you made up an email adress just delete everything off your myspace so no one goes to it

If you used a fake email address you can't delete it. If you sign in and go to "Account Settings" it should have a link to let you delete it.

I loive myspace at first i thought it was dumb too b/c i couldnt work it! Do you know how to do everything on it???

they are having technical topics and are engaged on them...I only tried to pass on line before I got here right here to ask a similar question..it really is going to be fixed in some hours ..i'm guessing and hoping

u go to edit setting or account something like dat ...and it say delete account but u have to have ur e-mail adress well writing and then thats it
