no. it won't because it sets in one plane. three points define a plane.

No it cannot, i have answered this question after reading all the answers above as i do not think any of them answer the question adequately. A tripod cannot wobble, even if one or two legs are shorter than the others. A conventional chair only wobbles because two sperate tripods are there, due to a shorter leg, but each tripod on its own is stable, the chair just wobbles between the two stable tripods. It does not depend on centre of gravity either, if the centre of gravity is above the base of the tripod, it will stand upright with no wobble. If the centre of gravity is far to one side (such as one VERY short leg) then it will fall over, but this is not a wobble.

A table cannot wobble with 3-legs. This is the reason why photographers like to use a tripod. The tripod stays firm and won't wobble.

I guess it would, if you took one of the legs off of a four leg table.
They are not wobbly if the legs are place in a triangle. This really only works on round tables.

Yes they do. Try putting a match book cover under one leg to even them out and it still wobbles.
