I took out my space bar while cleaning my keyboard and found a thin, metal bar under it. When I pop the space bar back in without the metal bar, it's wobbly, so my guess is that it's there to make it more stable. I can't figure out how I'm supposed to put the metal bar back in though. Does anyone know how and/or know what its purpose is?

You can buy keyboards for like $5.00 at Compusa. You probably spend more money on cleaning supplies than just buying a new one.

the metal bar under the space bar should have squared off ends that kind of look like this:

or they could be the other way:

the top short ends should fit inside slots that should be connected to the underside of the plastic space bar. Before you pop your space bar back on, be careful to look on the keyboard chassis for a couple of plastic snap type connections and the bar should snap to that and the top ends of the metal bar should be able to slide into the slots on the underside of the plastic space bar. Line it up and snap the space bar back into the keyboard.
