According to the webcomic pvp (www.pvponline.com : The sketch is a few comics back) the Zune sucks as far as portable media devices are concerned. iPods are more popular, and as I understand it, they look better. The Zune is kind of an expensive piece of hardware to buy for someone without knowing if they'll like it. What makes you think your son would want one?

It would be smarter to just get him an ipod nano or and ipod video. They are more portable unlike the zune, and the ipod gets better sound quality. I have an ipod and I absoulutely love it.
