I was just like you..missd my period for 1 day and tested. It came out negative. I felt pregnant but tested 3 more within the following week and the results were still negative.. Finally two weeks late, i went to the doctor and got a blood test done. Still, they didnt know. The results came back borderline, which they said is between 5-25. He told me to go back on the 26th of this month to retest, but i didnt have the patience to and just went ahead and bought another hpt. And guess what? It said PREGNANT. I was so excited.. It took my husband and i 8 months to finally conceive..
Wait a couple of days and test again.. If you think that you're pregnant , but it's just not showing, go to the doctor and get a blood test done. It's more accurate..

WHAT A COINCIDENCE! Im in the exacy same boat as you. I was supposed to start my period on Tuesday which was December 12th. I took a digital HPT yesterday and it was negative. So, Im just playing the waiting game now-though I havent been late for the past year or two.
From what I understand, it may be to early to detect the HCG hormone. The most accuracy comes when you wait at least a week after a missed period...thats what Im doing at least =0)
Good luck

I know that feeling well, we live in a NOW society where we can get whatever we want whenever we want it. Waiting to find out if you are pregnant is painfully slow sometimes. You just cannot rush nature. You'll have to wait. Keep testing every other day if you like, but there's no way to rush it. Your doc won't have you come in or a blood test at this stage, so try to focus on something else. Keep yourself busy for the next couple of days. Good Luck!!!

It could be just the anxiety of your worring whether or not you are pregnant keeping your period stalling. I realize you are excited, but I would take a few breath's and try to not think about it for about the next 7 to 10 days. One of two things will happen, you will start or you won't. Keep yourself busy and don't dwell on this. Sorry, I wish there was more I could do for you.

I took my tests 2 days before I was supposed to start even and they were all positive... those tests are really accurate, but can sometimes be weaker than others, and you may have less of the hormone than I did to detect... try in a few days with your first morning urine.

It most likely came back negative becuase you took it too early, how can we tell you what the outcome will be? Wait a week or two to be even more positive.

First, calm down. Your period changes it's cycle sometimes. Stress can make you be about two weeks late. Try to relax and wait out the week.

OH dont sweat girl friend. The cycle comes between 28 to 35 days normally and it so COMMON to be late...but if you are a little too late, a call to your gyno will be perfect.
