My parents won't let me go over to a friend's house without their parents being there. I think this is ridiculous as I am 15 and in two years I will be out of my parents house anyways. I haven't done anything bad. What can I do to gain their trust?

You can do it. I have a 14 y/o who I am very strict with.
It will take time, but have your friend over YOUR house often with your parents there. Let your parents see you are just hanging out and not doing anything wrong. Don't "f" up with this friend - meaning if you're hanging out with this friend and you say you'll be home by 7, be home by 6:45! Also get your friend to get to know your parents.

On the flip side - maybe your parents know something you don't???

Surely you jest. LETTING YOU go to a friends house without adult supervision would be idiocy. Wanting to go to a friends house when parents are not there does not speak well for your intelligence.

It's hard to tell whether you are stupid of canny and sneaky. But apparently your parents love you and are taking no chances.
