You can't listen to a self-help CD or Cassette and expect the man of your dreams to magically appear to life (unless you're referring to Frosty The Snowman). You have to go out and hunt for that Mr. Right (For You).

Sorry to be like Glenn Beck on you, but I had to answer this question.

By sitting in a room and wishing, you will get nothing. Simple mental thought isn't enough to bring the man of your dreams to you running through the door. What people mean when they say you can achieve anything is that when you try you can achieve anything. You have to go out and look for him. The best way to find a good parter is to meet a lot of people and never get committed to someone that you can't see yourself 10 years down the road with. It may be true, but maybe only for you. Ever seen the movie where the older lady still thinks she's the highly coveted star of the silent movie era? Can't recall it's name... It's different because she was stuck in her past, but it's still a distorted reality. And it does happen. It's called an 'erotomanic delusion' and usually involves the 'object of one's affection' being a famous person (but not always).
As far as the effectiveness of your aforementioned techniques - never tried them, so I wouldn't feel right commenting. It may work for someone, though, but it doesn't mean it will for you. Ughh. There I go spreading the doubt. Doesn't mean it's wrong though. I'm just a believer of 'sh*t happens' and I can't help but let that come out in my writing.
However, I do wish you the best of luck!!

Assuming self-hypnosis actually works, it won't help you in this case. Self-hypnosis might help you work harder to get a raise at work, or it might help you clean your house more. But it will not make the man of your dreams marry you. This is because self-hypnosis is just that--it only affects yourSELF. Try as you might, you won't be able to make him marry you just by telling yourself he will.

However, if I am wrong, please let me know. I would love to be able to make my boyfriend clean the appartment through self-hypnosis.

And is Baby Jane the movie that Jaque Z is referring to?

The REALITY is that marrage has always been a COMPROMISE. You just might go through life as a single if you maintain that position.
