No. Men and Women are not equal. Equal means the same. And men and women are not the same. I love the differences between men and women. Women are truly wonderful beings. They have so many qualities that men don't have -- qualities that men don't even understand.
We men have our own special brand of uniqueness. But let's face it -- we don't want women to act like us. Do we? I sure don't. I like the way women act (for the most part) and I sure like the way the look.
I think it's important to realize the differences between men and women and to appreciate those differences.
Having said all this, it is important to realize that neither is "better" than the other. To claim this is purely shallow and is a clear sign to me that a person has not learned much about men and women.
What's better? An 18 wheeler or a sports car? Well, depends on what you want to do with it. And men and women are the same way. They're just different -- not better, not worse, just different. And different is really quite wonderful. If you are a healthy male and you really stop and think about women and all that they bring to the table -- though we might not like all of it, most of us are willing to put up with the whole package because on balance, we really like what women have to offer.

Biologically, pretty much. There are very few differences between the sexes on the physiological level.
However, socially and professionally, the sexes are not so equal--society and business are still weighted more to help men and hinder women. At least, this is the way it is in most Western-minded cultures (like in the U.S.). Although businesses cannot legally bar women from employment in nations such as the U.S., the "glass ceiling" (I've also heard someone call it the "marble ceiling") makes female advancement to higher positions more unlikely while the "glass escalator" makes it easier for males to advance earlier in their careers. In addition, women are generally paid less than men for equal work. This is not equal treatment.
In society, women still hold similar roles as they have for ages. Although women may work full-time, many still must return home for their "second shift" (i.e. domestic duties). This is still considered to be more of Women's Sphere. The more things change, the more they stay the same. It is an archaic remnant of our patriarchal heritage. There is no logical reason why women are treated as inferior to men.
It was Aristotle who originally argued that women and men were on opposite ends of a spectrum, with men being on the "positive" end. This idea that women and men were different, with men being better, was adopted into the writings of St. Aquinas. However, such differences are, in actuality, only societal. As stated earlier, there are only a few biological differences between the sexes.

No.
But better? Better at what? Equal is not what I'd use.
Just doing the "average Joe and Jane", men and women are equivalent, not equal. The biggest difference is just "average size" and physical strength. While woman can get quite strong, men can get much stronger.
Then again, a woman's body can take more stress, pound for pound, than a man's body. Does that make them superior? No. Being equivalent means we have different strengths and weaknesses than the other.
If that makes men better than women, hey that's your call but I don't agree with it.

Men and women have differences. Men have physical power. Women have sexual power. These days they can both have financial power. I believe women are great, that is the best reason I have for being a crossdresser. I have experienced the world as a male and as dressed female. It is amazing how differently one is treated. Men are definately not so much better, but it is strange to me that a man dressed female is made fun of but a woman dressed as a man is not.

"Rationally and logically"? Where is your "rational" argument, with supporting "logical" facts? Several men AND women attempted to answer this question "rationally" but to attempt to answer an irrational question with a "rational" answer is an exercise in futility. Making any argument against your "assertion" would be like trying to rationalize with a racist, or a Nazi.

BETTER?? in what ? Lazing around the house doing nothing but watching TV? Men can never be equal to a woman. Men are less tolerant to pain, cannot nurture another person, very self centred, insecure, jealous, insensitive and always suspicious. Most of all, they are all procastinators. They just don't get up and do whatever is asked of them.

"Equal", but not "the same", as there are major gender differences. Feminists have tried unsuccessfully to deny this for decades. Men and women have different sets of strengths and weaknesses. They need each other, and together they can achieve a succesful, happy life.

Well, of course women will answer it with angry remarks because you are basically saying that men ARE better then women. So do you believe it, or do you just want to make women angry and see their remarks?

No, they are not equal. Women are stronger emotionally than men, are smarter and can use more of their brain synapses at the same time, thus making them excellent multitaskers. You try push a basketball through your pee hole, then you can try to tell us you are better!

Actually women are suprior. Without women there would be NO men because men can't give birth. (just once I'd like a man to expierence NATURAL childbirth though). So I've proven my point.
