All you can really do is open it up and take out the battery. Let it dry out naturally. Been there done that!

Immediately open it up and take out the battery.
Wipe off the battery.
Blow the water out as best you can (yes, blow on it with your breath). If you can disassemble the phone a little bit, that'd be good. You'll have to let it dry out until it's dry, before putting the battery back in.
If your phone's memory depends on always having the battery connected, I'm sorry. Really, you need to remove the battery so that corrosion doesn't form on the circuit board.

If you got it really wet, you may not have a phone to dry out!
It really depends on wheather the phone was on or off when you dropped it in the water!
Shake the phone and if you can hear water inside the case and the phone was on when you dropped it than forget about rescuing you data!
If it was off and you can hear water inside, don't try to turn it on!
You might have a chance but remove the battery first and take it back to the local dealer they might be able to help.
If you don't ear water inside when you shake it and the display is on, then don't worry?
Take the back off and let it sit for a day in a warm, dry area!
Good Luck!

ooo, please don`t tell me you made chocolate in the toilet...
Turn Off the phone, and get a towel.. Wipe every single thing of the cell phone, just be careful with the batery. Your "life" might die if you mess with it..
Another Way: Hair Dryer.. Don't put the h.d. too close to the phone, it'll burn. Put on low heat..
Don't use your phone for a couple hours.. If you do, Water will still be in it.. Give it at least a few hours to dry..
Happy Holidays and Good Luck! ^_^

Whatever you do, don't turn it back on until you are sure its dried out. If you have saved your numbers to your sim card, not your phone, you should be ok. Don't know who you have your phone with, but Cingular can hook the phone up and put your numbers in a new phone if they are saved to the sim. Good luck!

Be very careful and open it up. Use a hair dryer. Afterwards, don't use for a few hours. It'll be good as new.
