Are white people immune to AIDS?

I am really in a big doubt.This is because everytime i hear they talk about AIDS in US or other countries,they only site the diseases to other races.Please help clarify my doubts

I guess AIDS now is a matter or being financially viable.Whites travel more than any other race.They travel to Asia 4 cheap sex.But when they wanna report the prevalance rate they target low income earners.Meanwhile they are infected but bcoz they can buy drugs,they make everyone think they r free.
That is why a great scholar said the problem of Africa is not AIDS but poverty.

a. Briefly summarized, AIDs is more prevalent in Africa because that is where it crossed species from chimps. (SIV crossed species and became HIV.) The Africans that ate the bush meat of the infected animals contracted it, and it quickly spread throughout the entire continent. (Where there is no real medical care that can detect it or treat it, and where there are no real forms of protection.) In America, we have problems with the promiscuous people in inner city ghettos. (They don’t use protection, especially since they don’t bother to buy it or worry about the consequences.)
b. I can't remember offhand where I read this, but I do remember reading about a theory suggesting that White people from the areas of Europe that were affected by the Black Plague have a slight immunity to AIDs. White people can contract it and die from it, but supposedly not as quickly or as easily as people from other areas that were never affected by it.

No one's immune from AIDS. It's had greater spread among people of other races, but it still affects many Caucasians. For example Rock Hudson dies from AIDS, Michael Jeter had AIDS, one of the first heavily documented cases of AIDS involved a Caucasian adolescent boy by the name of Ryan White. white people are NOT immune to AIDS..whoever told you that should be put in an insane asylum. they just usually show third world countries where AIDS is more of an epidemic (africa..etc) that's why the people in those documentaries are usually of a different race... plenty of white people have AIDS.--it's contracted sexually, and in other countries, more than likely rape is involved. that's why it seems more so "racist" of a disease. but since condoms are used more frequently here in the US...there isn't such a high rate of AIDs among whites..

gahhh no so not have sex with alice, what if you actually got hiv or aids. do some research, im sure a fair number of white people have it. There isn't any cure for it and prostitution is low. thats so much a bad decision just go ask the doctor or go type it in on google.

There is a genetic mutation that occurs only in some white people that makes them either resistant or immune to most HIV strains.

I think its called CCR5 delta 32 allele and 16% of Swedes have it. Most who have this have a heterozygous version though which only offers resistance to HIV and doesn't prevent infection. Resistance doesn't do much, though: it might extend your life by a couple extra years but you will still die of AIDS.

A very small minority (1% of white people) have the homozygous version of this gene which prevents infection entirely for 90% of HIV strains (although unfortunately for them CCR5 co-uptake is necessary in only 90% of HIV strains).

So no nobody is immune to HIV but there are some that have a genetic resistance to most strains.

No. The reason the focus of the fight against AIDS is mostly on other (poorer, like African) countries is because they lack the financial and educational resources to combat the spread of the disease. However, millions of people of every race in every country are exposed to &/or contract the HIV virus every day.

I don't know where you are getting your facts from, but I seem to find sites with white people with aids. If your referring to Africa being in the news alot, it's because it's really bad overthere, and drug companies testing cures don't have the hoops they have here in the US. Aids doesn't discrimate.
