He has a mustang, so that's not much of the issue...

he drives our jaguar luxary car, and our 1999 durango hard. He just floors it, cuz he's immature. could he mess up something, or cause it to fail more easily?

He shouldn't hurt anything if it's a good car. But he might want to change the oil more frequently than 3,000 miles. If he's revving it up like that it might take some of the viscosity out of the oil sooner than normal.
And make sure he, or you are putting a new fuel filter on it every 3 oil changes. A clogged fuel filter will prematurely wear out a fuel pump because of the higher pressure caused by the sudden acceleration. Keep it clean and you should still be ok with his lead foot!
