Both are just amzaing peices of work, but what do they have in common? All comments will be helpful, Thanks in advance :)

They are very different pieces of work, of course. Themes I see in common: overreaching (McMurphy tries to beat the system, and so does Lear in a different way); selfishness (Nurse Ratched and Goneril/Regan); and being outcast (all of the inmates, and Poor Tom/Lear/Fool on the heath).
