Joke answer would be: Politician. (they'll never come back, and 9 out of 10 return the remembrance)
Serious answer would be: a tree seed / sapling, because every time it came into full bloom they would be reminded of the seed they planted here on Earth and the seed we gave them to plant that grew into a tree.
