ppl mock gays all the time and then say "oh i was just kidding... i am surprised that offended you... " so its more annoying that she cant at least appreciate that she offended people from that perspective... but i know she didnt intend to offend anyone. she shouldve caved in a little sooner.... then again i grew up with a lot of asian kids and never even heard "ching chong" meant anything (?!) plus, she said it in a conversational way, not a mocking way... i dunno - it's a toss up...

prediction - this is her first and last year on the view

I am not a Rosie fan either, but I saw the clip and didn't think she was making fun, she was trying to 'speak' an asian dialect of some sort. However it seems that doing that, specifically saying 'ching chong', is offensive to a large amount of asian people.

2. She is racsist for mocking the chinese language
3. RACIST THE WORD SHOULD NOT BE RACIST IN TO ANY CULTURE

Well, yes but I think she was more wrong for unnecessarily defending Clay Aiken. A germaphobe is not the same as a homophobe, Rosie.

We all know you don't have to have intent to offend someone, to actually offend someone.

I don't like Rosie, but I do think it was innocent... she just should have thought about it for a second. Maybe now she will think before opening her big yapper.

Man, I'm so glad this has happened. I am so sick of Rosie O'Donnell and her self-righteous, in-your-face crap. I used to love her old show and thought she was so great. I actually agree with her on many issues---however could she just shut her yap?

I'm glad that now she knows what it is like to have people judging you as insensitive. Chew on that you sanctimonious blow hard!

I think she was as wrong for saying that as she thinks Kelly Ripa was for saying the discriminatory comment about Clay Aiken's hand. It works both ways, Rosie!

I'm sure she didn't mean it but that's pretty offensive. It's the equivalent of calling some one Asian an Oriental or China-man. Both are very wrong!

These stars really need to watch what they say.

Well, after the way she went after Kelly Ripa, I think she is getting what she deserves!
