I'm positive of my answers, I know a lot of people picked D for the first question, but a hypothesis is the explanation of a phenomenon my logical inference, if it is previously known then there is no need for a hypothesis, and there is nothing logical about imaginative guesses. Also nitrogen fixation is only performed by bacteria most people don't know so they are just guessing.
