Just war was founded on Thomas's Natural law, and in natural law, it also states that if one side fails to adhere to the laws, the other can break the laws in order to succeed. So this is the largest problem I see with the war over in Iraq is that we are fighting a PC war, and since we are, we technically are not living up to just war standards in any way. So could someone explain to me why the US is being ridiculed for breaking a rule of war that the other side has broken, and broken many more?

I've been asking that same question, but very few people seem to be able to shake their brain loose from political correctness long enough to think clearly about it.
It is so out of balance, the enemy can brutally torture, and behead prisoners, but we are not allowed to even embarrass or ridicule prisoners.
I also believe that other countries don't want to be close to the U.S.,because they fear that they will, also, become targets of terrorists
Before 9/11 most other countries would have given us much more sympathy and understanding. Now they fear that they will be dragged into the fight against terrorism, and they are quick to condemn us.They are covering up their own cowardice, by claiming to be morally suppior.

I so agree with you!! We are in new times. Back in the day I agree we should be the better people and abide by the rules and set an example but those days are gone. And all the bad publicity we've been getting for the treatment of the enemy prisoners just adds fuel to the fire but you'll never get them to see it. We need to be tough on these people cause weakness is an invitation to trouble.
