Frist of all it's my frist time in, and i'm not scard of fighting. I've done it and trained in the arts for many yrs now. So i can handle myself very well. I just don't know when i should act tough or let it go.

What are you going to jail for? What did you do wrong that you must go? I wish that you didn't have to go. But I wish you luck and that you get out real soon.

it amuses me at all these ridiculous answers on here. I can Tell that the people commenting have never and will never be in jail EVER! sooo,.... let me break it down for you . Unless you are a gang member and its your duty to represent yourself as a part of that gang....Jail is just a center of detention, where average people, for some misfortunate event, have landed. Just like you they feel the same feelings of anxiety, loneliness, and he feeling of being at home. Of coarse you must defend yourself at all times!, but if you don t put yourself in the situation then the defense tactic is most likely not going to be used. Make acquaintances that are trustworthy, don t judge people for any matter, and 100% OF THE TIME FALLOW THE RACIAL POLITICS....other than that just phone your family for a visit every certain day, and keep your mind as free as possible....as Dr. Wayne Dyer would say..."Let go and Let god" ..Fallow these advices and I promise....Just when your starting to get comfortable with your routine, you will be released.
-My advice is solely about Jail, not Prison, I feel you must luve it in order to give the advice.

you aint in jail, they only let you on computers in prison, and if you were there you wouldnt call it jail, but ill answer anyway, pretty much just be yourself and try not to stare anybody down cuz some ppl take that as a threat, but as long as you dont start nothin with ppl you dont really have to worry about fighting, and one rule is, if you got ciggarets or some type of drug you gotta share it with the other ppl in your cell or they will get mad, kick your *** and just take it from you
when it comes to the acting tough, never act tough but also rarely if ever let anything go, or more and more ppl will try to walk all over you

I was told by this man once that when he was young he got thrown in jail and thought he should beat up the toughest one there so he started in right away. Luckily he got out just in time before he got killed! The Sheriff was laughing!

i never been to jail or really even got in a fight.. i would suggest playing it low and if anyone really ticks you off then go for it.. other than that i would not try to really talk to the tough guys in jail and do not give in.

what level security prison are you going to, it really makes a lot of difference. just dont ever let someone feel like they have power over you, or else they will have power over you.
