get a prepaid fone.
try cingular's GoPhone. there's one that's called "pay as u go, 25c/min" and another that's called "pay as u go unlimited mobile to mobile."

Lotta companies offer pay as you go, I think virgin is 18cents/minute, some others are 25cents/min. etc. Just be sure you get a phone that works in your area, I bought a virgin mobile PAYG phone, and it didn't get service anywhere within 15 miles of my house. Luckily, I only wanted the LCD screen and battery out of the thing. At 18 dollars, that was a sweet deal.

pre-paid cell phones are the best if u dont talk alot always~u have minutes u buy~

Yes Alltel has "Pay as you go" 15 cents a minute. No monthly bills, no long distance or roaming charges. Just pay minimum $20.00 and buy a phone. that's it.
