The problem with the charging system is probably why.The bike is probably running off the battery untill it is to low to provie a decent spark ,then it misses and dies.If you want instructions on how to test the charging system to locate the problem e-mail me through answers.P.S. you'll need a volt meter.

The charging system is probably your only problem.if it is not charging you are running on battery power only.As the battery gets weaker the motor will miss worse until it finally quits. If the bike has a generator instead of an alternator you need to polarize it at the regulator and make sure you start out with a full charge on the battery or it will miss.

Sounds like an electrical problem in your ignition system Could be the coil(they break down) or could be the magic box(ignition sensor). Only way is to individualy check each component of the charging and electrical systems. If it was mine off to thehop it would go. Everytime I have tried to work on electrical I ended up going to the shop only. As for the missing I believe it is the coil.

Sounds like a possiable wiring short to me. With so few miles it could be that a wire is compressed or rubbed from vibration. Best be it to take it in and have it checked out

I have a 107 ci S&S. In less than 3,000, miles the ignition moduale went bad on me (Daytona Twin-Tec). Luckily, it was still under warranty.
