Hi there, I need to pick up a gift for a friend who is British and he is also an artist (he is a painter and also make drawings), but I don´t know what to buy him for Christmas. He also loves punk music and horror movies and stories (ie from H.P. Lovecraft). Any ideas?, thanks :-)

I'm also an artist and I suggest you do not buy him any art supplies unless you know his exact preferences. People are always buying me paper and pencils, not knowing that I can only use specific brands and weights. A gift certificate to a craft store that sells art supplies is a good idea. That way he can pick out his own stuff. If he likes horror movies get him a box set of something - Alfred Hitchcock is a classic. Good Luck!

I would go to a craft store and buy him a really nice large, sketch book, and some nice drawing pencils,,,,and also you might find out what Punk music cd's he doesn't already have and get him one of those. My daughter is an artist and she can never have too many sketch books and pencils...they can help you at the craft and art supply store what kind to get...( Your friend is lucky to have someone that cares enough to get something he would really like) Merry Christmas!! Get him "The rocky horror picture show" dvd if he still doesn't have a copy.
And if he likes punk music, I supposed he likes dressing as one, so get him some chucks/ converse shoes with punk/psychedelic designs on it. Or figure out what style he dresses and give him accessories(armbands....rings) or clothes that fit his own personal style.

yeah u could get him tickets to a punk concert, the Saw dvd of he has not seen it yet and the channel that has art stuff form direct tv
