I've found the gravesites of her parents and aunts/uncles through a long geneology search process.
Unfortunately ... my own parents (including my mother) died over a quarter of a century or more ago -- and this was when I was a very young adult and already on Active Duty with the US Military ... So now that I'm Retired (and Finally an Empty-Nesting Single instead of a Long-Term Single Parent), I've had the time to begin this search ... and locate the last of our blood relatives in the US. From this point on, I'll have to search overseas for further answers ... because the Grandparents were LEGAL immigrants to the US and indentured servants when they entered the country.

Nothing, she is a jw. Because I am a born again Christian and will not force her, I honor her by giving her nothing.
Let me tell you instead about the best ever Christmas present I ever received. On Christmas Eve, 2003 my cousin told me that she left the jws earlier in the year. I sure would like the same thing from my mom this year.

Same thing every year since 1994, poinsettias for her grave. LOL, she hated them, and made me promise not to put them on her grave.
Signed, Evil Scrooge Bad Daughter.
But, Dad loved them, even planted them in their yard. He is 50% of what is left under that headstone. He gets poinsettias, red ones.
And the really funny part of this tale is, Mom would laugh, and say, "OK, you got me! and I can't do a darn thing about it!" and make some smart remark about me having crafting skills, and she knows the craft store has NICE flowers! I love Christmas!
Lord, she is still here, telling me what to do!

My mom is a fitness freak, she wants a top of the line heart rate monitor for when she's running! It's pretty expensive though, so me and my brothers are going in on it.

I am getting her a TiVO and picking up the subscription fees for the year. That way she can record all the shows she misses when she's out doing other stuff....she's a big hockey fan too, so she can record those when she misses them on tv.

I'm going in with my siblings to get my mom a bunch of $20 gift certificates to restaurants. That's what we got her last year and she asked for it again. She loved it!
