What's funny is that people say things like, "it's just the Internet". I didn't know that the rules for grammar, spelling, and punctuation changed just because you are posting it online. If English isn't your first language, I can totally understand, but if it is, that's just pathetic. If someone can't spell words we learned in kindergarten, there must be a problem with his/her brain function. Period.

I am from China and I see more importance to spelling check. But it is also a challenge and a way of study in guessing the meaning. I hope it wont last long.

I agree. My biggest pet peeve is people who are horrible at grammar, commas, spelling, etc.

maybe you should be considerate that not everyone in the world speaks English, but at least they're trying.
