if it does not stop bleeding, see a doctor. If it's not bleeding, clean with peroxide, damp dry, apply first aid ointment/cream and cover. Repeat daily. If there are times you roam with shorts on or when the area is not irritated by clothes, I suggest you not cover it and allow it to air once in a while.

Clean the affected area, and remove any foreign debris (saline is good for this, as it doesn't sting as much). Apply an antibacterial ointment such as Neosporin (I like the kind that has a pain-killer in it, myself), and cover it with a bandage. Make sure to change the bandage at least daily until it heals. If it starts looking "moist" there are two schools of though: one says to continue to keep it clean and bandaged, as there are some studies that have shown that an area that stays moist heals faster and does not scar as much; the other says that moist wounds need to be allowed to come into contact with air and form a scab. Either way, if the wound becomes severely red or inflamed, it's time to see a doctor, as infection could have set in despite your best efforts.

clean the area and apply some antibiotic ointment. you can put a bandage over it if you like, but it's best to leave it open.
