Anyone have any idea of what it means to dream of either the death of your mother or for your mother to be dead in your dreams. This is a recurrent one whereby my mother would either die or be dead within my dreams... or that she would be suffering from a psychological disorder like dimensia or Alzheimer's. I would be the one to take the blame for it from other family members.
Any ideas? Kind of important...

Thanks everyone for the answers so far. Just to clarify that I'm not the physical murderer in the dream that I am aware of but there is latent guilt.
No one close to me has passed too recently though I've had this dream often enough for several months now. No births in the family or circle of friends either, I assure you!

I dont think it's to do with guilt alone. But a little is there. We all have some guilty feelings about our parents especially our mothers, should do more, shouldnt have said this or that, etc. The death in the dream is more likely to be a positive sign that you have separated from her, cut the apron strings, the dependence on her, etc, and are in the process of or already done so, become a fully fledged adult. You have outgrown your need for her the way a child would, as much as you love her, it's over that you are the same child. It's tinged with guilt because you now sense she needs you more than you her (as it once was in the past). It's a sort of birth for you into the next stage of your life, and has nothing to do with your mum actually dying. Be assured.

Here are some of my conclusions:
1. It sounds like you feel responsible for something that hasn't gone well recently.
2. Your mother's death or mental sickness, could represent some worries you are having about your mother or about someone that is close to you. You hope to help them even if it means you have to go through some kind of trouble (as in jail for your mother's death).
3. If you are currently in a relationship, it could mean that you aren't paying enough attention to your special someone.

I believe that dreams mean the opposite, If you dream of a death, you hear of a birth.

See my answer to the question "I need to know ASAP what this dream means" (just copy & paste into the search box at the top). It's the same, it's not the dream that REALLY matters, it's what you think and feel about it.

Well it could mean one of 2 things
1. You've had a vision
2. Your mind is just wondering and tortureing yourself.
This woln't happen, but because you have a fear of it happening you keep thinking about it and repeating the dream. Because your afraid it will happen it keeps tortureing you.
Hope this helps,
Kitty
