What can I do to make me feel normal again?

you are NOT alone.......increasingly,we live in a world where people can only maintain a sense of self-esteem by having undue influence or power over others,i.e. at someone else's expense.Sad,huh?Do you know that ALL humans have at least one art form that is unique to us?A creative sense that can give us a feeling of accomplishment and self-worth? Alas there is so much turmoil in society, and so many daily distractions, that in most of us,we'll never have the time or incentive to discover that one {or more} creative leaning. As the great philosopher Murti said"it is not a measure of good health to be well-adjusted to a profoundly sick society".Being sensitive is a virtue, so don't be so hard on yourself,OK?Click your heels 3 times and say"I am worthy!".........My best wishes to you,and seek help, you deserve it.

I know where your're comming from. I lost my grandfather & uncle in July,1998 heartadches.Uncle was 42, grandfather was 85, I think. Then we lost my brother in 1999, due to cancer (brain tumor) he was 29.For a couple years I was upset. Then in July 2006, the neighbor's daughter was in a car accident, she was 20. She was shy and I gradually worked with her for 14 years (untili her death), to overcome her shyness, she did overcome some of it. Being disabled I saw her almost everyday. I tried helping her with here shyness by joking with her (getting her to laugh some) and calling her My Little Buddy. However, the Little Buddy name turned into more than helping with shyness, I meant it.Since her death,I'm not the same.I feel very depressed. What can be more precessious than a loved one or close friend? Why can't there be a cure for depression.

Get help. Call a depression hotline. Those people will not judge and you can just talk to them, not even tell them your real name. They can help you find some avenues to seek help.
You can't "un-depress" your self alone. If you do, you will either commit suicide, turn to drugs or booze, or be miserable the rest of your life.
Help is not a bad thing. It's not like the old days when if you mentionned you talked to a shrink you were written off as a loony. Shrinks and Phsycotherapists today work with people who are severely depressed and mental, and with people who just need a little help to sort out some things (like you).
Suicide Hotline: 1-800-SUICIDE (1-800-784-2433)
LifeLine: 1-800-273-8255
Depression Hotline: 630-482-9696

Well, doll, take a hot bath, remember all the good in your life, don't dwell on the past, go to sleep and wake up and remember it's a whole new day. Make the most of this day, don't, do not, dwell on the past. Yes, certain things in your life happen for a reason, (I'm still trying to figure mine out my reason why this thing happened to me) Smile, everything might go bad, but it will wake you up to the good stuff.

You seem awfully confused.
I`m having serious problems following & understanding you.
Take a few deep breaths and gather your thoughts & feelings together.
You need time to heal & grieve over your son Elijah.
We all do after major traumas & tragedies in our lives...
You need to be there for your other son Shane.
That`s the most important thing.
Nothing else matters.
All the best in life & love!
Happy Holidays!

it really sounds like you need expert help on this, beyond any words we can offer here.
life can be brutal; there's nothing wrong with needing a hand here and there. if you don't have a clergy person you can trust, call your county mental health department for advice on who to see.
best of luck . ((((((hugs))))))
