Question

You must enter your social security number to activate your Google Adsense account. Is this safe? I've heard stories about people losing everythings because someone found out their SS#. Should I trust Google? Thanks!

Many sites use AdSense to monetize their content and some webmasters work hard to maximize their own AdSense income. They do this in three ways:

This is done so that they can report your income to the IRS. It is required by the government. It is as safe as anyone who must have your SSN for mandated reasons. It is a secure website (see the https before the url)
