40 wks and 4 days; I have been having contractions since last week, but those weren't as strong and each one lasted for 2-3 minutes with pain also.

I know a break dance called the contraction. I am good at it. If you want me to do it while you give birth I will. I usually work kids birthday parties....but am not above working a child birth. My fee is $20 plus bus ticket. Oh, and I get to eat birthday cake and drink punch. I will also throw in a magic trick I can do with a hankerchief, a midget, and a broomstick. Thats free. Let me know.

When the contractions get closer together and last longer then you need to call your dr. they will let you know if they think you should come in. If you are dialated more than a few centimeters, then really consider calling the dr for further instructions.

Once they get closer together the contractions will begin to last longer then the breaks in between. It gets a lot worse, I'm sorry to say.

Once your contractions are happening about 4-5 minutes apart, you should get yourself into hospital or medical care.

i would say if you live far away from the hospital you should probably leave soon. it is really bad if they are like 2-5 minutes apart because that mean you are about to have a baby.
But I'm sure you already knew that... :)

wait till you are having them about 5-7 min apart till you go to the hospital.

just go to the bithong center if ou are unsure they will tell you..that baby will come when its good and ready and you will know...its not like you going to be in your living room and all the sudden there is the baby, your body will let you know indefinatly...good luck.....
