My daughter did one not too long ago. She has a brother with Downs Syndrome, so it was based on life with him. Titled: The Laws of Life According to Josh. She did it the night before the project was due, got an A and now it is published...so I guess she is a published writer now...but that night she was in a panic.
What in your everyday life affects you ...good, bad or ugly.
A cat, dog, siblings, cousins, neighbors, a car, your bedspread. Pick something and discuss. Step out side the box and let your mind wander. You'll find it and when you do the report will be a breeze.

Talk about a particularly heart-breaking memory. Your teacher/prof will eat it up. Be very descriptive and emotional. People should cry.
