What am I looking for in a computer?

Question

I want to save my money and buy a computer so I can play games, musics, and videos on it, but I don't know what things do I need to find in a computer to work games, music, and/or videos. If you know any site I can go or have some advice, then please answer. And also, I want it to be $1500 or lower(I may buy a $2000 computer).

I strongly recommend you get a Mac. If you buy the 20" one you will never regret it. That's what I did and, as they say at McDonalds, "I'm lovin' it!"
Why? Because, firstly, you never get all the hassles that you will with Windows. You plug it in, take 5-10 minutes setting up your operating system, and voila! You are now surfing the web and checking email. iLife is the best multimedia program out there- you will never lack in your search for the perfect entertainment center. If you're desperate to run your Windows games, then buy Windows Home, download Boot Camp, and there, you have Windows on your Mac.
I can see no reason not to buy a Mac if you're going to spend that much money. They are heads and tails above any PC.

your best option would be to build your own computer...

websites like www.newegg.com sell computer induvidual computer parts so you can put it together, its very cheap to build your own...

if you do not know how to build your own, i suggest that you look at http://pcworld.about.com/magazine/2107p146id110665.htm

but if building your own isnt for you [it is somewhat tedious and time consuming, but worth it], then you should check out the websites of different computer manufacturers.

I don't recommend that though, building a computer is easier done than said.. this is my first computer that ive built. and i paid approximatley 1,200 US dollars, and i have a 2.6 GHz Dual core CPU, 2 Gigabytes of RAM, 512mb ddr2 video card, and a 100gb hard drive with a nice sound card also. i also bought a pretty expensive case [200 dolllars], so you could effectively build a VERY nice computer for 1,500 dollars.

p.s. i strongly advise you not to buy a Mac if you want to play ANY games...haha, there are almost no games for the Mac.....

and also running windows on a Mac can make your Mac very slow, and will slow down your games...you'll get lots of lag, and its really no fun. stick with a PC if you intend to play games.

Go to www.pcworld.com and look in there Gaming PC's reviews. You will find there what you are looking for. But keep in mind the gaming machines don't com chip. be prepared to dish out about $ 2,500.00

You want it to be an inexpensive computer but you also want it to have a good computer thing like windows or hp pavillinon something like that
