Please, serious answers only... I already know how babies are made and I know they come out of the vagina, but isn't the hole a little small? well, maybe REALLY small? I never bought up the topic with my mother, i dont plan to unless i really have urgent and personal questions. I'm twelve years old and quite mature, i just wonder if the vagina expands or anything. If not, won't it like break? Thank you in advance. No answers about the stork. :)

we have to write a report on the subject of how a baby is born for sex ed. That's why I want to know, but it sounds like it hurts like hell.

During labor, there is a hormone release called oxytocin. It makes the uterus contract. That contraction helps "pull" the baby down into the birth canal.
Basically the contractions, the hormones, and the pressure of the babies head coming down into the birth canal, allow the cervix to dilate. Once the cervix has dilated to 10cm, then the baby can effectively ( in most cases) pass through the birth canal. (Vagina)
The vagina is made up of soft tissue and muscle, and it is made to stretch to allow for the birthing process.
In come cases, the babies head or shoulders are to big to pass through the vaginal opening. The doctor has will make a small incision in the perinum area. ( that is the area between your vagina and your anus) Which makes the vaginal opening wider to allow a sucessful delivery of the baby.

The female anatomy is as follows: Uterus ( smooth muscle) cervix ( looks like a neck at the bottom of the uterus) Vagina ( menstral flow and babies pass there) urethra ( allows urine to pass from bladder)
Labia minora ( smaller lips of vagina)
labia Majora ( larger lips of vagina)
Clitoris ( at the top part of the urethra)
Hopes this answers some of your concerns about the female anatomy.

The opening stretches a lot to let the baby come out. However there is a chance that you could rip or tear. I think you should ask your mom this question, as I'm sure she could tell you with examples such as your birth, siblings birth, etc...

It's designed to expand at the right time!

If you are quite mature, then you would not have a problem with discussing this topic with your mother, that is what they are for.

I suggest you practice that maturity and ask her. You will realize the trust and bond it can create for you both.
