I was offered a job with a family and the center I currently work at. I just can't decide what to do. The nanny job pays more, but its not all about the money for me. I really enjoy my job at the center, and I know that it will be really hard to replace me at the center. I need some help!

Wow! Unfortunatly I live in California and the cost of living is very high here. I am a stay-at-home-mom and have been for a year now. I was working full time but was laid off last year. Before that I stayed home for about 5 years. I honestly would love to go back to work but I have no one to watch my kids and daycare for 3 kids is VERY expensive (like over $1,000 per month). So sometimes it's not even worth it. I don't have family to watch them and my husband works alot of random hours. Plus I like having a clean house and being able to make dinner more often and I totally agree that they are MY kids and I should be the one to raise them. And I won't always be a stay at home mom, in a few years when my kids are in school full time I will be able to go back to work full time. I think that if you can afford to be a stay at home mom/dad then great, but some people are in situations where they have no choice but to stay home and raise their kids.

Weigh the pros and cons:
Nanny: better pay, better work environment, less stress, large impact on those you work for, sense of accomplishment
Center: worse pay, work environment, etc.
Obious choice: NANNY!
