Its just a phase she's going through. Try changing your name to something stupid and go around insisting that everyone call you that. See how she feels. Just go for the ride, and don't get to upset.
I really like Cymphoni, its really pretty. My names Casina, which I've never heard anyone else with. I like having a unique name, I always know people are talking to me (Its annoying because it kind of sounds like Christina, but its CAsina). Anyway, just wait for a few months (or maybe years) she'll get over it.

Just because she wants to change her name doesn't mean she wants to be common. She can be unique with a more, as you put it, common name. I'd say if she's more comfortable with it, it's her decision. Perhaps the name Cymphoni was just not the right name for her. Personally, I like her choice better.
P.S. I've never heard of the name Jaidyn, so I don't know where you live that it's that common.

I'm 13 my names Blair :) Its not so common for girls but it turns out I happen to know a few other girls named Blair and not a single guy named Blair. But last year I remember I was teased a little and it didn't bother me since I know it'd pass and all. Now I dont have a problem. But last year I wished my name was Emma or Stacy. I have a feeling when I grow up I'll appreciate my name. I'm sure your daughter will too. For now she might just like the fact she has the power and all.

I hated my name growing up and always said I would change it as soon as I was 18 to Jessica or something, I wanted a more common name, but now that I am older I like it more (I won't lie I still don't love it) It is common.

Yeah, I suppose some people just want to fit in. That's a pretty name you chose for her though. My name is Tanjila and it's pretty original, maybe not where I'm from, but here it is. Anyway, I like it and it's nice not having a name millions of others have. Really adds to my uniqueness. I suppose not all people are inclined to feel that way though..

I think every little girl wants to change her name. When I was a kid I wanted to be called Madison...which was NOT common then...but I wanted to be called that because of that movie "Splash." My daughter who is 8 is named Karaline but she wants to always be called Summer...UGH...and at the park she tells kids she doesn't know that her name is Summer.
I think your daughter will probably grow out of it. I did. I have the most common name in the world and I love it...Layla is not my name btw....kinda ironic that its not I suppose when answering this question.

I'm thirteen and I have always wanted to change my name to Miley or something unique...my name is Erika Davis...how much plainer could it get? Your daughter is lucky to have a unique name. It puts her out in the crowd. She has a pretty name, and I don't know why she doesn't like it.

is your call somewhat Jill? if so i imagine its a enormously call! call alterations take a good type of time and money. because you're lower than 18 sure your dad and mom would ought to consent. I hated my call at the same time as starting to be up, yet after I were given married i had it legally replaced.
