Blizzaks are a good winter tire along with Cooper M&S. I would highly recommend you get 4 winters on your 240sx. When you buy your winters get a set of cheap steel rims to go with them or use the stock ones you have on the car and get some nice chromes rims for the summer. You won't regret getting an extra set of rims for flipping your tires from winters to summers.

Consumer Reports magazine just published a performance winter tire report in November. The Goodyear Eagle Untra Grip GW3 H took top honors with the Nitto Winter SN1 H and the Continental ContiWinterContact TS810 H. Bridgestone Blizzaks are and always have been well rated. I have summer tires on my Dodge SRT-4 - they are terrible in snow. If you consider Blizzaks, note that the high performance V/Z speed rated tires do not have the spongy tread material they are famous for.

Summer tires will not work in the snow. They are designed for warm temperatures and warm roads. The tread design is not meant to handle snow either. Get snow tires, you won't believe the difference in the snow handling of your car.

Oh yeah, go small and narrow on the size too. Your car probably came with 14 or 15 (maybe 16in.) wheels. Get snow tires for those if you are running anything larger then 16 in wheels.

Tire Rack is excellent, I buy all my tires from them.

Winterforce tires from TireRack.com. Great price and excellent performance. I've got them on two cars, one front wheel drive, the other RWD and I can go anywhere in them -- and I couldn't before!
Plus - you can get them mounted and balanced on some steel rims for as little as $20 each. Makes changing between summer and winter easy.

I love this and thank you ,I work for BRIDGESTONE / FIRESTONE and we build both the winterforce and the FUZION HRI ,both fine tires .you owe it to your self to check out TIRE RACK'S opinion of the BLIZZAK (I will not spoil the whole review but they say,"WE HAVE FOUND THAT NO ALL SEASON TIRE OR WINTER TIRE CAN MATCH IT." a pretty strong recommendation from an INDEPENDENT source don't you think!

Dunlop Winter Sport M3 are what i have on my VW GTi. They are awesome tires for snow and rain, but are not all season.
