Repeating...an already posted answer VERY,VERY,VERY.
Personally I would like toget into politics but I'm afraid in this country that's made difficult, the other inherant problem is that to become a polotician with ANY sway you have to go thru the motions..and kiss the right asses...unfortunately that means that by the you reach a position of responsibility u r either corrupted by the system or hell bent on power and the trappings of power. HERE lies the problem....We should sack the MEP because they r answerable to NOBODY???(10 years without having the accounts signed off????I run a small business and I'm sure as eggs r eggs that I'd b hauled over the coals if I Failed to balance MY books. VOTE straight talking party!!

There has never been a government in the last 100 years that has not had corruption at the heart of it. Both major parties are as bad as each other for scandal.
The "old boy" network though will ensure that no one is brought to book for their sins. Unless of course you have gone passed your usefulness like that idiot Archer, who should be stripped of his title
It also suprises me that anyone as fat as two jags can a) Find someone to have an affair with and b) Be fit enough to do the job. But as long as the silent majority are prepared to put up with all this corruption in politics it will continue unabated.

The most recent case concerning the Saudi commissions is a good case in point.
The notorious "Jonathan Aitkin" has made a speech defending the commissions system for the Saudis.
Everyone should know Jonathan Aitkin made all of his money with the Saudis in the 1980's when he was a Minister in the UK government.
He also went to jail for perjury.
He knows as he is an expert on the subject of corruption

not corrupt at all i think, but sometimes people who care a great deal about issues like to know what is going on, and where the money is being spent. that would help people to see there is no corruption. i believe that eventually this will happen, like an end of year tax return, then everybody will feel in the picture, and know what is happening. but not corrupt, there is such a diversity of people in any british government nowadays, this is my belief, for what it is worth.

Labour yes roten to the core,
Lib Dems some good some rotten
Conservatives, so bloody touchy that Conservative polititicians have to step down just because they leave their wife.
Lets face it nobody ever accused Maggie Thatcher of being corrupt, daughter of satan yes corrupt no, and no one accused John Major or being corrupt or competent or of screwing Edwina, or even screwing his wife come to that.
