Windows or Mac?

If you have alotta stuff on there you'd just rather not have, I'd just save whatever I wanted to keep on discs and reinstall the OS.

A while back, one of my brothers had loaded my computer with viruses, spyware, adware, and all sorts of stuff from going to porn sites and using Kazaa, that it was just easier for me to reinstall the OS. If you just want to remove some of the junk that takes up space in temporary folders, cookies, etc, Maybe try a program like Window Washer or Evidence Eliminator. I use Evidence Elimator because it keeps my system clean, and helps it run more smoothly.

Wayne, what is stored on your hard drive is what you put in it. So go to your "My documents" folders and see what is in there and if you don't need it just highlight it and click delete.

If you are talking about the programs installed in your computer, go to control panel and click on "add/remove" programs and if you find any programs that you "know" you don't need, highlight the program and click remove. However, you must be very sure and positive that you know what you are doing; otherwise, don't remove anything.

Good luck

It depends on the type of Operating System you are running. If it's windows based, you can go to My Computer->C:/ to see what is stored. However be very cautious about what you decide to delete, as certain files and folders ar required for you computer to run properly.
