I am due to start my period on the 20th or 21st and was wondering I took a First Response today which says you can take it 5 days before missed period and the last time I had sex was 15 days ago. It can out negative and really fast bold single line and wondered if this should ease my anxiety a little. I had protected sex the day after my period but it was a mistake and I just am paranoid. What do you think about this? Thank you so much

I took 2 pregnancy tests (to be sure) 7 full days before my period was even due and both were positive. Yes i was pregnant. The pregnancy tests i used were "Answer" and ClearBlue Easy. The answer one had a very bold positive and the clearblue one was there but faint. I prefer the "answer" one over clearblue easy.
Surprisingly, cheap tests purchased at dollar stores or on the Internet are often more sensitive and reliable than expensive store brands. HPT's are like soda: very cheap to make, and marked up quite a bit for retail.

You can test 19 days after the day you think you became pregnant.

The test say they will work up to five days before a missed period, but unless you have high HcG levels it might not work until after a missed period, I believe it say it works five days before 66% of the time, to me it is worth waiting till I actually missed the period.

Bug chance that it would show negitive. I was due for my period on the 7th and took a test on the 30th and it was negitive and then took a test on the 2nd and it was positive. Its best that you wait like 4 days with those tests, but still can get a false negitive.
