If you feel sentimental and in love and want to have a constant reminder of that and this particulare momento does that, then frame it. Otherwise, keep it in a safe place like a safety deposit box for a geneological and sentimental keepsake for your kids. I had mine framed/matted nicely. Should I put the divorce papers next to it you think? May God help you to avoid that pit-fall and be thankful every day you are in love and work at it always.

A friend of mine saw that my ex framed our marriage licence. He gave me a warning. Said that my wife saw this as a conquest instead of a vow of love. I waved it off as just more psychobabble for a psych student. After a while I found he was right. I still stuck it out though. Made it for 5 years till she went after conquest #2. I don't know if this is a real warning sign. But, still, it does sound creepy to me. However, my 2nd wife (18years now and going strong) put ours in a scrapbook. This is really kind of neat, the scrapbook was a real work of labor. No one gets to see it unless the subject is brought up.

We keep the original with all of our documents, but one of our friends made a really cool-looking commemorative certificate as a gift for our wedding - he had it done on faux parchment background, with calligraphic lettering. It's nicely framed, and we have it hanging in our bedroom. It was such a great gift.

We plan to frame our "keepsake" certificate. The actual marriage certificate will be placed in a safe-deposit box.

Congratulations in your recent marriage! I made a color copy of mine and put it in the same frame with the wedding pictures and now it hangs on my livingroom for everyone to see. But that is just me 'cause I'm really happy with my hubby!! I kept the original one in the safe.

you can frame it for a few months if you like, then after that you should put it in a fire proof safe, you never know when you could need it and remember to make a few copies.
