If your face is oily, than powder is better because it will absorb the oil throughout the day. Otherwise, liquid is good because it can moisturize your face and give more coverage.

I used to use liquid foundation, but found a better alternative. I love the powder and will never go back to liquid. But that's just me! I used Bare Escensuals and it works great!!! Liquid makeup is generally a little heavier. However, it all depends what kind of look you are trying to achieve. What i used looks very natural and you don't have to glop a whole lot on to make your face look flawless.

It depends. i use both. I put a little oil free liquid foundation to smooth my face or hide any blemishes (if I get a pimple) and then put on powder bronze or skin tone powder (lightly) They even have the liquid that turns to powder after you put it on. I love it. It's by Maybelline. You shake it up before putting it on. It goes on moist and turns to powder. It looks great and saves a lot of time.

You will find your face feeling and looking greasy if you use powder foundation. The powder is much thicker than liquid and causes your skin to secrete more oil.
Liquid foundation is sheer and you can usually gauge how much powder (I recommend loose powder) your skin type needs.

i think powder is better because it's faster to put on and it doesn't feel heavy, but it depends on how much coverage you want. Liduid covers better and lasts longer and it's better for dry skin, but it feels heavy sometimes, like in the summer. Powder is a sheer coverage and it's better for oily skin, but since it doesn't last as long as liquid, you can always layer a lot more easily during the day than with liquid.

Liquid is great for normal to dry skin while powder or matte is great for really oily skin. Most people use liquid. Try Loreal True match. It's a top ranking product. See this source for why.

I prefer cream foundation bases with powder to set them. MAC makes great ones, especially if you want realllly good coverage that doesn't look pancake thick. They're a jojoba base and jojoba is closest to natural skin oils, so it doesn't clog and get crazy at ALL. Just make sure you gently but thoroughly wash it off and your pores won't be clogged... Believe me. My skin is a total pain, and this stuff covers flawlessly with *no* acne or anything as a response.

USING LIQUID OR POWDER IS BASED ON PREFERENCE. I USE POWDER BECAUSE IT IS DOES NOT MAKE BREAK OUT. USING LIQUID TEND TO HAVE OIL AND OTHER OIL BASED COMPOUNDS THAT CLOGS YOUR PORES AND LEAVES A GREAT SPOT FOR BACTERIA TO GROW AND THATS HOW YOU GET PIMPLES. USING POWDER IS A GOOD IDEA THOUGH NOT THAT IT DOES COME OFF EASIER THAN LIQUID. BUT THE CHOICE IS YOURS.

If your skin gets oily quick i would use powder but liquid is easy to smooth out real quick and to me it helps me look darker for some reason.
