do you buy your own family , immediate family, the house hold only, kids only, or do you go all out?

"Shoppers around the country say they are planning to spend an average of $907 for gifts this holiday season, down from $942 last year according to the 21st annual survey on holiday spending from the American Research Group, Inc."

Based on those stats, I'm about average. My family shops for parents, children, sister, brother and give some to charity.

I just read that one: it's eight hundred bucks.

Me: I try to keep it down to a dull roar, and just do immediate family and closest friends. Trinkets for for the next level out, then cards.

Well my sister spend about $20000 in all on 12 people.I wouldn't call her a average american because she goes shopping EVERYDAY since saturday.She spent on siblings, parents, boyfriend, boyfriends sister,boyfriend's parents',friends,my 2 yr old daughter, and probably more people.

i buy all of them a gift . oh i think it take me until the middle of next year to pay all of it off . i think i would have spent about 1900,00 dollars this year on my wife kids and family members

we spend usually around 15-30 dollars per item and for any family or family friends, but thats about it

v r all spending on Christmas gifts cos it is only once a year v've.

Around $700.00 Dollars, even though we are a small family, it adds up quite fast.....immediate, and In-laws.

i buy only the closest family members...plus i dont spend much cuz as of a young teenager i dont make much
