Borat is not a Kazakh. He is an actor named Baron Sassh Cohen, and is a Russian Jew.

Virtually nothing said in the film Borat has anything to do with Kazakh or Kazakhstan. The fat dude that travels with Borat is an actoir with an Armenian name.; The scenes supposedly filmed in Kazakhstan were filmed in Roumania.

The Kazakhs are unhappy about this film, which makes them look racist and stupid.

Here is what the Wikipedia says about the Kazakhs.

The Kazakhs (also spelled Kazaks or Qazaqs), (in Kazakh: Қазақтар [qɑzɑqtar]; in Russian: Казахи; English term is the transliteration from Russian) are a Turkic people of the northern parts of Central Asia (largely Kazakhstan, but also found in parts of Russia and China). They have been famous in the past for the fierce love of freedom, skillful horse riding, hunting with semi-domesticated eagles, and currently (as of 2003), for the rapid economic growth of the independent state of Kazakhstan. The word "Kazakh" was included in a Turkish-Arabian dictionary of the 13th century AD. The meaning of this word was given as "independent" or "free." The true meaning of the word is a matter of debate: some say it is related to "Aq qaz", which means "white goose." The name Kazakh, both for the people and for the nation itself, is said to reference the horseback culture and is related to the term "cossack" that takes its origin from the same Turkic word. Other theories exist as well.

Mostly, Kazakhs belong to one of three Jüz (Жүз): Higher juz (Ulı jüz), Middle juz (Orta jüz), and Junior juz (Kişi jüz). There are tribes (taypa) and clans (rw) in every juz. There are also three groups outside juz system: töre (direct descendants of Genghis Khan), qoja (descendants of Arabian missionaries and warriors), and töleñgit (descendants of Oirat captives).

OK, well, Borat is a comedian. More importantly, he is an English comedian. Borat is not meant to represent the real Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan has a population of ethnic Kazakhs as well as immigrants from the other ex-Societ Central Asian Republics who look....well.....Central Asian (kind of Chinese but with broader faces, similarly to Mongolian). The other big group in Kazakhstan are ethnic Russians.

There are not many Kazakhs in England. People just find the comedian's (Sacha Baron Cohen) brand of comedy funny.

EDIT: Sacha Baron Cohen. A Russian Jew?? Absolutely not. He is Jewish but has absolutely no Russian in his background. He was born in Hammersmith, central London!!!!

Kazakhs are mostly Russian. It's a large and successful country actually, right next to Russia. The humor from Borat is a misrepresentation of Kazakhstan. It's a funny movie/show, but don't get your world facts from Ali G! :-)

Kazakhs are a turkish people.

Although I believe some of them are direct descendants of Genghis Khan.

Perhaps they are Mongol/Turks...

As to their species... I am pretty sure it is homo sapiens

They are turkic. Turkic people and Turks are not the same thing now. After thousands of years of foreign occupation, invasion and stuff, the Turks have become more European. Turkic peoples look more like Native Americans and so Kazakhs are more natural Turkic peoples.
