Fractions of this type have numerators and denominators that are "relatively prime", which means the numerators and denominators have no common factors besides 1. Examples include 2/5, 4/7, 12/13, etc.

The top and bottom don't have to be prime. They just have to be "relatively prime", prime in relation to each other. They can't have any factors in common except for 1. For example, 4/7 is one possible fraction even though 4 isn't prime.

Fractions of this type are also called fractions in simplest form, because all common factors of the numerator and denomionator have been divided out.

something prime, i would guess if it can only be divided evenly by one, so like have a prime number on the top and the bottom. 1,2,3,5,7,11,13,17,19,23, etc.
